Intermodal Transportation
This PowerPoint presentation was made to airport executives at the "Airports of the 21st Century Forum" in San Diego. Around the world, about 85 airports have air-rail links. In the U.s., there are but a handful. Air-Rail Integration (ARI) meshes air and rail service to provide a seamless travel path for passengers between airports and center city railports. The Federal Government has not established specific goals or funding to develop inter-modal capabilities at airports.
